Christian Counseling for Anxiety and Depression

Clinically proven care that takes your faith seriously, with Dr. David Lombard, licensed psychologist.

Maybe the worry starts before your feet hit the floor. Maybe you're going through the motions at work, at home, even at church, but the joy is gone. You may have prayed hard and wondered why it hasn't lifted. Struggling with anxiety or depression is not a failure of faith. It's a real condition, and it responds to real help.

This may be for you if you're experiencing:

  • Constant worry, racing thoughts, or dread about what might happen

  • Panic attacks or physical tension you can't shake

  • Low mood, emptiness, or loss of interest in things you used to love

  • Trouble sleeping, focusing, or getting through the day

  • Feeling distant from God, or guilty that you're struggling at all

  • Depression or anxiety that has come back after a good stretch

How I help

We'll use treatments with strong research behind them, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills. You'll learn to recognize the thought patterns that feed fear and hopelessness, and to replace them with what is true. Where it fits, we'll bring in Scripture, prayer, and the practices of your faith, not as a substitute for treatment but as part of it. You set how much faith is woven into our work.

What to expect

  1. First session. We talk through what's happening, your history, and what you want to change.

  2. A clear plan. I'll explain what I see and how we'll work on it, in plain language.

  3. Skills you practice between sessions. Most of the change happens in your everyday life.

  4. Regular check-ins on progress. We adjust the plan as you improve.
